Adobe MAX 2018 is one of the world’s largest graphic design and development conferences. It is set to commence this weekend, as the pre-conference starts Saturday October 14th. The main event kicks off October 15th and runs till the 17th. Adobe MAX is held by computer software giant Adobe, and will take place in the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California. The three-day event will have many things in store for those attending.
The conference is a great way for people in the design world to make new connections and meet potential contacts. There will be celebrity hosts and speakers such as director Ron Howard and comedian Tiffany Haddish. Major companies sponsoring this event include Google, HP, Logitech, and many more famous companies in the creative and technology industries. New Releases and Updates
The most important part of MAX, however, is the presentation of the latest Adobe releases. Adobe does this in order to promote their new ideas to consumers and professionals in the design industry. This year, Adobe is expected to show a number of new updates and improvements to Creative Cloud. Adobe has teased a new and improved content-aware tool in Photoshop. This updated feature is said to be non-destructive and more selective than its predecessor. The content-aware update will be just one feature in a larger Photoshop update.
Illustrators New Feature
Another anticipated feature presented this year will likely be Illustrators new tools menu. An additional feature teased by Adobe, the tools menu will be completely customizable. This means that you can create a custom toolbar for every single one of your projects, creating a more convenient workflow. Illustrator will also experience extensive improvements to the way gradients are created. Additionally, InDesigns new update is expected to have a new AI-assistance that detects the subject of images. Therefore, this new setting will be able to position the subject appropriately in frames automatically.

New Typeface & More
There is also groundbreaking work being done in the typographic field. One item confirmed for the conference is the Neue Frutiger World Typeface: A global and expansive font family that covers more than 150 languages from scripts that include Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Georgian, and more. Other anticipated features to be revealed are Adobe XD’s new look, responsive After Effects features, and a new and improved Character Animator. All of these and more are expected to be introduced at Adobe MAX.
Designers attending the workshops will be able to learn some new techniques to create great content. The learning sessions range from lectures to hands-on demonstrations in design, photography, videography and more. It seems that Adobe is making sure that there is something available for everyone!
